It's been my goal to help other's with some easy meal ideas. I am going to try to remember to post this week about our meal planning and how it goes. There are a lot of great blogs out there with meal planning ideas but a lot of them are too far out for my family's tastes (or they sound too complicated). I try to plan our meals a week in advance so I can buy what I need in one trip instead of several. Sometimes things do not go as planned so I always try to have a few extra options on hand for those nights that work for cooking a real meal but will keep us from eating out. I do try to cook from scratch but sometimes I cheat too or use processed items to save time.

I am a normal mom - I allow my kids candy and soda and non-organic veggies! LOL I don't try to pretend we eat nothing but fruits and veggies. We all have those people on social media that "pretend" to be perfect - that ain't me! We have healthy options too but I don't believe in depriving them of something. I feel by allowing them treats when they want them (within reason) they won't crave them like a mad-man. This isn't where I am going with these blog posts. I just want you all to know we are a regular family. I don't pretend to eat a perfect diet so if you are looking for those kind of meal ideas I hope I can help. With all that said our family doesn't have any diet restrictions (if they did we would modify things). These recipes may have sugar, salt, nuts, gluten and I also do not know the calorie count. If you are watching any of these things you may need to modify my recipes, which is easy to do. I am going to try and take photos and post recipes as often as possible. I just hope I don't forget!

Homemade Hamburger Helper 
Sloppy Joes
BLT's
Fiesta Chicken Casserole
Chicken Fajita Pasta
Shredded BBQ Chicken

Will I actually make all this as planned this week? I don't know. All items will be homemade with the exception this time of the Sloppy Joes. I am cheating and bought Manwich sauce this time :-) I do have two things I haven't tried before: Chicken Fajita Pasta and Fiesta Chicken Casserole so I am unsure how those will turn out. I will post if/how we like them. I call these experimental nights! LOL We do have some stuff going on this coming week so some items may get postponed but this is what I have planned on. I will probably meal prep in a bit to save time this coming week. I love prepping it saves time during the week when I need it most.
